AmigaOneProductions has visited various presentations around the UK, and
produced a video for each event, looking through the videos, you can see
the progression of OS4 over the past several months.
Videos - Why ?
Video production all started with a trip to Enfield, North of
London, to an ANT (Amiga North Thames) meeting on November 9th 2003,
this was to be the first ever public showing of OS4 booting on AmigaOne
hardware, I thought it was something I should not miss I took my camera
along, thinking I'll get some footage of the event. On returning
home and over the next few days I edited the video, and put it online for all to
see.
What happened next came as a surprise, I honestly
thought that maybe a hundred or so people might want to download my videos,
so after letting people know on my favourite Amiga Website (amigaworld.net,
where else !), I kept a watch on the server logs to see if anyone was bothering
to download the videos
Within a few days, news of the videos had spread to various other websites
around the world, (many in languages I don't speak). The hundred or so
people that I expected to visit the site came, then so did another 100,
then another. At the end of November, the total number of unique visitors
came to just over 8000, taking with them 117 Gigabytes of bandwidth !
After getting very good feedback from everyone I decided to
continue producing videos of any of the other shows I was able to get to.
OK, enough of the waffle, on with the Videos
